Innovations Orientation

During the Orientation at Brentwood, the Innovations team will run a short seminar to cover their initial technology setup.

If students require additional information or assistance with setting up their accounts and computers, please contact us for additional support.

Account Setup

Before arriving at Brentwood, students will get an email with their temporary Brentwood Account username and password.

If you followed the steps in this email, you would have set a password on this account. If you cannot log in or have not set a password, please visit our Account Portal to get started.

Wireless on Campus

At Brentwood, we have a wireless network that staff and students can connect to all over campus. To use this network, you have to authenticate with your Brentwood Account and accept our Acceptable Use Policy.

  • On your device, select the Brentwood WiFi network.

  • You should receive a prompt on your device showing the Innovations Technology Acceptable Use Policy and a button to accept and log in. If you don't receive this prompt, open a web browser and visit http://nevelssl.com. This will initiate the login process.

  • Select the Login with Google button at the bottom of the page.

  • Log in using your Brentwood Google Account (generally firstname.lastname@brentwood.ca).

  • You will have to allow Meraki Splash page to your Brentwood Google Account.

You should now be connected to the wireless! We ask that students and staff complete this login process every 90 days on their devices.

Google Chrome

At Brentwood, we use many Google Services. To offer the best integration and support for these, we recommend using the web browser Google Chrome.

Install Google Chrome

If you don't have Google Chrome installed:

  • Follow the prompts when opening the downloaded file to Install Google Chrome.

Open Google Chrome

If this is your first time using Google Chrome, follow the prompts to set up a Chrome Profile with your Brentwood Google Account.

If you have used Google Chrome before, select the user icon in the top right of the Google Chrome window. Select Add at the bottom and follow the prompts to set up a Chrome Profile with your Brentwood Google Account.

We provide many bookmarks, extensions, and other services via your Brentwood Google Account. Logging into a Google Chrome profile gives access to these services.

MySchool

MySchool is the student information system used by Brentwood to provide the following services:

  • Timetable for Tripartite Program

  • Announcements sent by teachers, advisors, and houseparents.

  • Parent/Teacher Interview schedules.

  • Term Report Cards.

  • Your Travel Information: Entering and updating your travel for breaks.

To login:

  1. Use Google Chrome to go to myschool.brentwood.ca

  2. Log in with your Brentwood Google Account.

Printing

We have many printers and copiers located all over campus. To print to any of these printers, we recommend using Papercut Mobility Print. This works with Windows, macOS, IOS, Android, Linux, and ChromeOS. It is the easiest to setup and gets straight to printing!

Basics on Printing

Once you are set up with printing via Papercut Mobility Print, here are the general steps to print.

  • Print your job to FOLLOW-ME.

  • There are two options to get your print job:

    • Use your student card or staff fob to log in and release your job at the printer or copier.

    • Use the web release on Papercut and pick your job up from the printer or copier.
