Shawnigan Lake Regatta

The weather and water conditions were quite good over last weekend up on Shawnigan Lake for their annual rowing regatta. In heats and finals on both Saturday and Sunday, Brentwood did very well in winning five events including the Junior B Lightweight Boys' and Girls' Eights, the Junior A Girls' Coxed Four and Junior A Boys' Quad. The Varsity Boys' Eight posted a margin of seven and a half seconds over rival St. Georges to win the Jr. A 8+ for the second year in a row.

The Club uses this regatta as a dress rehearsal for the nationals. There will be forty athletes and five coaches heading off to St. Catharines in less than two weeks to compete in the Canadian Scholastic Secondary Schools Association’s national championships.
