Staff and Student Software

Brentwood College supplies students with licenses and access to many of today’s popular platforms. Students and Staff have quick links to common products using The Hub (brentwood.ca/hub)

Google Workspace

Students and staff use Google Workspace (Drive, Calendar, Classroom, Sheets, Docs, Slides, Meet, etc) as their primary online environment.

There is no software to install, simply login to Google at google.com.

Microsoft Office

For students and staff at Brentwood College School, we can provide Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, OneDrive). This runs on Windows and MacOS.

You are allowed to activate Office365 on up to 5 different devices.

To install Microsoft Office365:

  • Visit the Office365 Portal.

  • Login using your Brentwood Office email address (Students Note: use firstname.lastname@brentwood.ca. Password is the same as your Brentwood Account).

  • Click Install Office in the top right area of the webpage and choose Office365 Apps.

  • Run the downloaded installer.

  • Once the install is done, you will need to activate by logging in with your Brentwood (@brentwood.ca) account. This occurs when running one of the Office Apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Onenote, etc) the first time.

Sophos Anti-Virus

All students can request a copy of Sophos Endpoint Anti-virus. This is available to both MacOS and Windows operating systems. Sophos is deployed automatically to Staff computers supplied by Brentwood.

If you would like a copy of Sophos to install on your computer please do the following:

  1. Send an request email to the Innovations Helpdesk.

  2. Innovations will configure Sophos to send you an email to your Brentwood email address

  3. Use the link provided in the email to download Sophos Endpoint.

  4. Install Sophos Endpoint.

Adobe Creative Cloud

All students get access to Adobe Creative Cloud accounts. This gives access to various Adobe software including Photoshop, Acrobat DC and many other Adobe products.

Staff, please request an account by emailing the Innovations Helpdesk.

To access your Adobe Creative Cloud account and install Creative Cloud Applications please follow these steps:

  1. Go to Adobe Creative Cloud (https://creativecloud.adobe.com)

  2. Type your Brentwood email addresses in the login prompt (Staff generally use @brentwood.bc.ca and Students @brentwood.ca).

  3. It should take you to sign into your Brentwood Account through Okta. If prompted, select Company or School Account.

From here you can install any Adobe application.

  1. Go to https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop

  2. Download and install individual applications OR you can download and install Adobe Creative Cloud which manages all of your installed Adobe applications.

Esri ArcGIS

Geography students may need to access Esri ArcGIS as part of their coursework.
