Silver Lining (and hardware) for Junior A Volleyball

This past weekend, our Junior A Girls Volleyball team ventured to Belmont to play in a 16 team exhibition tournament. After starting out in what was the consensus “pool of death” with Brooks, Highlands and Mt Doug, our girls managed to come away with three sets from six. Unfortunately, due to points won and lost, we ended up third in the pool and in the silver bracket for Saturday.  Motivated by the results from Friday, the girls went undefeated on Saturday, running the table on all their opponents to claim the Silver Championship. While all of the girls played well, Reece FR was singled out as the Silver Championship MVP and Willimijm P was named to the tournament’s second all-star team. As we continue to develop, this team is gelling as a group and will look to play well at VIU in two weeks. Mr. Neil Robinson
