Senior Girls Got Game!

The Senior Girls Soccer team now has another excellent win under their belts. Tuesday, with a very short roster due to injuries and sickness (only one substitute!), Brentwood won 5-0 against our rivals, Shawnigan Lake School. At the end of the first half, the score was 0-0. Even though the team was playing hard, with Mollie M and Gillian M keeping the back line strong, we couldn’t seem to get the ball in the net. Claire P and Sidney H were also at the back line, continuously getting the play away from the front of our net and helping Hannah W keep her shut out.  With fresh legs in the second half, Erin M scored FOUR incredible goals with the help of Karli S, Karly D, Berit B & Sarah L. Sidney H played the best game of her Brentwood career, endlessly setting up plays that would result in goals and getting it out of our end. Sarah M and Karlien LR played hard in the mid-field, showing everyone what being in good shape looks like.  To finish the game off well, Sarah L sunk a shot in from outside the box! Our coaches, Mrs. Fougner and Mr. Horth can now breathe easily until our next game. It was great to have the school cheer the team on to help secure a great win on home turf.  Karly D, Allard ’14, Captain
