My Experience In Privett House

After my first year at Brentwood as a small and seemingly invisible Grade 9 student, I wanted nothing more than to be a member of Privett House. I had older friends from my previous school come to Brentwood and a lucky few of them were also given the honour of being placed in Privett. After hearing my first debate within the Colts rugby team about which house was the best on campus, I was sold on being one of the boys in blue.  Fast forward a year and I was pulling through the Brentwood gates for Orientation Week with my hands in my lap and my fingers crossed, hoping that I would be handed a small laminated card with the bold, blue ram.  Privett has been everything that I expected it would be, in addition to so much more. Across every house on campus I have never seen a group of 67 teenage boys so tightly knit and caring of each other - except when prep snacks are stolen, in that case I have never seen a group of 66 boys so motivated to find one of their brothers munching on a stolen cup of Mr. Noodles. Privett has taught me teamwork, how to motivate others and myself, how to deal with conflict, and so many other cherished lessons I will carry with me for the rest of my life and I owe it to all to the boys in Privett House from Grades 9-12.  Bleed Blue!
