Mother’s Day Brunch
Brunch may be a weekly Sunday affair at Brentwood, but it is also one of the most awaited and celebrated events. This week’s Brunch on May 12 though, was exceptional.
Brentwood invited the families in the community of Mill Bay and mothers of Brentwood students to gather and celebrate this special day. Not only was it a magical bonding experience for families, but all donations went to a great cause, the Relay for Life.
Mothers Day Brunch for Relay for Life.
The Brentwood students involved in Relay for Life divided themselves into several teams for fundraising this past week. This included a car wash, selling hotdogs, blizzards, and the brunch. A big thank you to Sophia T who organized the Mother’s Day Brunch.
Mothers dedicated their time, love, and care to us every day and Mother’s Day is one time to give back and show our appreciation for all they do. 364 days of the year mothers nurture us; on Sunday Brentwood made it possible for them to be able to sit down and indulge.
The Brentwood Mother’s Day Brunch was located at the McNeill Center from 10:00 to 12:00 am. Mrs. Felix and Brentwood’s SPARC team were in charge of the event and did a magnificent job and, with their impeccable service, made it a success. Sabrina W also serenaded us with her harp and left smiles of delight plastered on every attendee’s face from beginning to end, just like the love that mothers provide for us every day of the year. Mr. Sean Napier, Brentwood’s Executive Chef, added a special touch of class, providing the brunch with chocolate-covered strawberries for everyone to enjoy. The event raised a well-deserved $410.
Relay For Life is a great event that Brentwood takes pride in supporting. All proceeds go to the Canadian Cancer Society. We can help save the life of someone’s family member, friend, or mother. It was a wonderful time for a wonderful cause.
A big thanks goes out to Mrs. Felix, the SPARC Team, the Relay for Life team, and, of course, to all the caring mothers of the community for making this brunch possible.
