Junior Boys Prove Poor Hosts
The Junior Boys Basketball team pulled off a first over the weekend. They overcame a miraculous three point shot by SLS that forced overtime to come away with a thrilling 4 point OT victory in the final of the Brentwood College Challenge tournament. This marks the first time in three years that the boys have won their own tournament.
The boys made the final by beating a skilled team from Collingwood school, while Shawnigan had advanced past Nanaimo’s Dover Bay. Although the team had great contributions from many individuals, Matt G was selected to the All-star team while Paul L was named as Tournament MVP.
The boys wish to thank all of the supporters who came out to cheer them on throughout the weekend.
