Girls’ Rugby Opens Strongly

Thursday of last week the Senior Girls Rugby team took to the field against Ladysmith Secondary School in our first league game of the season. As we ended the first half with a substantial lead, new players were subbed on to experience rugby in a game environment.  While continuing to pull away on the score board the girls, old and new alike, learned many things on the field including how to work together to get an ideal outcome. The game had some very well played sections, but also revealed areas to improve on before our upcoming games. Brentwood tries were scored by Nambi M, Avi S (2), Brooklyn N, Katrina F (2), Carolina M, Mckenna H, Rachel M, Jenn L, Bronwen S & Anita A-M while strong team defense ensured that our try line was unassailable.
