Flag Football Follies
While I understand running around catching footballs in Canadian winter may not be everyone's idea of fun, it was for a group of Brentwood students.
While many familiar faces returned, numerous new ones joined and it was clear from the start that this group was undoubtedly wild. The positive, rambunctious environment throughout the season made each practice something to look forward to.
Our season consisted of games such as the Alumni Bowl, Staff-Student Super Bowl, and the Fiesta Bowl. Just like last season - with maybe a little bit of help from the new jerseys - we came away undefeated by the end of the season with many crazy catches and celebrations for the books.
This season couldn’t have been so amazing without all of our teammates, but especially not without our coach TCH (Mr Toby Collis Hanford) who pushed us all by breaking our ankles every practice. I am so lucky to have been able to be Captain for the first two years of the Brentwood Flag Football team and I hope that its legacy continues to grow.
