Life at Brentwood College has returned to normal. Everyone has calmed down following midterm break and the American election results, students have adjusted to their second term sports, all is well.  To add to the joyous nature of the campus, the SAC hosted their fifth international dinner of the year, the Filipino Dinner. Led by Zaira S, Hope ‘17, Brendan S, Ellis ‘18, and Luis M, Privett ‘18, Brentwood’s resident Filipinos and Filipinas (as well as some helpful volunteers) hosted a cultural experience for the rest of the community this past Wednesday.  The aroma of the cuisine could be smelled from the other side of campus. Upon entering Crooks Hall, all were graced by Bruno Mars’ hit songs. On the menu were Filipino delicacies such as Chicken Adobo, Lumpia (Pork Spring Rolls), Pork Belly Sisig, White Jasmine Rice, Pancit canton, Vegetarian Fried Noodles, Leche Flan for dessert, and Buko Juice to wash it all down.  Comments about the dinner were extremely positive, especially regarding the pork belly sisig. It was an amazing dinner with a fun atmosphere, making it an enjoyable night for all who attended. There are many thanks in order to those who made this event possible: Zaira, Brendan, and Luis for leading this event; all the Filipinos, Filipinas, and volunteers who helped serve, set up, and take down all the decorations; Mrs. McLean & Cate B, Allard ‘17 for allowing this dinner to take place, and most of all, to the marvelous food services staff for yet another terrific international dinner.  Olamide O, Privett ‘18
