Brentwood’s Golf program had an exciting year, with tons of talent and smiles led by Mr. Warner. Captain Jagre K, Privett ‘23, along with Avik B, Privett ‘23 and a couple of young talents, had impressive results.

I thought I would take this time to reflect on their accomplishments.

The season took off with the Police Tournament at Victoria's Olympic View. Throughout the tournament, the squad battled against bad weather conditions with pouring rain and strong wind. Although there weren’t any mind-blowing achievements in this tournament, a big shout out to Avik for his performance in his first-ever competitive tournament.

The ISAs that took place in Squamish were a big step for the program as Jagre finished 2nd, one stroke away from the winner, and Dara M had an impressive 4th place finish.

At the Island Championship, Brentwood was fighting to qualify for the Provincials. They fought hard, but, unfortunately, came sixth when only the top five teams could qualify. Just when they thought they were out for the season, one of the qualifying teams decided to abstain because of an injury - that got Brentwood into Provincials.

Provincials was three days and the team fought hard. Although the results weren’t great, Jagre came top five and Ryan L was top 30. “ I really appreciate Mr Warner this year. As a coach, he brought us to Squamish, provided loads of suggestions, and did his best” Ryan said in appreciation of the effort put in by Mr Warner this year.
