February marked a remarkable time for Brentwood. Celebrating 40 years of women at Brentwood, the school put on an exceptional dinner for all female students, returning alumna, faculty and emeritus faculty. The following day, House Parents took advantage of the array of knowledgeable past Brentonians on campus and asked them to inspect the houses for Saturday’s #1.

While the alumna of varying graduating classes inspected rooms of all the girls’ houses, Mackenzie was in for a treat. Mr. Mark Jackson, husband of previous Mackenzie House Parent Mrs. Jane Jackson, unveiled an amazing piece of art in honor of Mackenzie House. A ceramic piece, consisting of 3 handcrafted frogs, and complimented with lily pads, the artwork was presented to the past and present girls of Mackenzie. A green frog, of course, is the mascot of Mackenzie.

A beautiful piece of art, the sculpture is sure to draw the eye of many an onlooker in the Mackenzie foyer for generations to come.
